How to Request an Open House Posting

Submitting an Open House Request

When requesting an Open House, please email help@remaxedgeny.com with the following details:

• Property Address: Full address including ZIP code

• Date and Time: Include both start and end time (e.g., Sunday, Nov 3, 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM)

• Flyer Request: Indicate if you would like an Open House Flyer created

Once complete details are received, the Helpdesk will add your request to the posting queue and share it on MLS, StreetEasy, and applicable platforms.

Subject: Open House Request – 123 Main Street, Staten Island, NY 10306

Hi Team,  

Please post an Open House for the following property:  

Address: 123 Main Street, Staten Island, NY 10306  

Date: Sunday, November 3, 2025  

Time: 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM  

Please create an Open House Flyer as well.

Fair Housing and Advertising Rules (New York, USA)

All Open House postings and advertisements must comply with Federal and New York State Fair Housing Laws.

Avoid any language that could be seen as discriminatory or preferential.

Do not include statements suggesting limitations or preferences based on:

• Race, color, religion, sex, disability, familial status, or national origin

• Age, sexual orientation, gender identity, marital status, lawful source of income, or military status
  

Acceptable Example:

“Open House this Sunday — All are welcome.”

Not Acceptable:

“Perfect for young couples” or “Ideal for Christian families.”

Required Disclaimers

All Open House flyers and advertisements must include at least one of the following:

• The Fair Housing logo, or

• This disclaimer:

  “We are committed to the principles of Fair Housing and Equal Opportunity.”

During the Open House

• Display the Fair Housing Notice at the entrance.

• Avoid steering or making assumptions about who might “fit” the neighborhood.
